THE REAL ISSUES WE ARE FACING

Current politicians talk about fake issues, blame others, and use misinformation to deflect from their failure to tackle the REAL problems we are facing everyday. I care about what my fellow Wisconsinites care about, and I will fight for those priorities tooth and nail. After speaking with real people in our community, these were the top issues.

  • Affordability in America

  • Healthcare

  • Immigration and Border Security

  • Jobs
  • Education
  • Housing
  • Crime
  • Erosion of Democracy

Affordability in America

We are in the middle of an affordability crisis, no matter what the President says. Prices on everyday goods skyrocketed during the COVID-19 pandemic and worsened when the Trump administration imposed illegal tariffs on imported goods. This reckless policy has inflicted unnecessary pain on Wisconsinites. We must end these tariffs immediately and enact policies that lowers prices for Americans.

Healthcare

Access to affordable, high-quality healthcare is a fundamental right. Unfortunately, rising premiums caused by legislation passed by Republicans threaten to strip coverage from millions of Americans. When combined with the record profits currently reported by insurance companies, this situation is completely unacceptable.

Immigration and Border Security

The current approach to mass deportation is deeply concerning. While I fully support border security and the removal of dangerous individuals such as drug traffickers and violent offenders, the current enforcement strategy is fundamentally flawed. We must not target law-abiding, hard-working immigrants who are contributing to our communities. This indiscriminate approach is unjust and must stop.

Jobs

Having worked all over the country, I can attest that there is no harder-working population than the men and women of Wisconsin. Our district is situated on a critical supply chain route in the heart of America. We must use this to our advantage to bring well-paying manufacturing and transportation jobs back to the Badger State, while still supporting our small busssiness owners.

Education

My focus is on strengthening public education, not dismantling it. Schools should be safe, inclusive places where children learn how to think, not what to think. We need to fully fund special education and mental health resources in schools so that no student is left on the sidelines. We must also address the current teacher shortage by ensuring our educators receive the salaries they deserve.

Housing

Access to affordable housing in Wisconsin is reaching a critical point. Market analysis shows a stark disparity: median home prices have risen by over 50% in the last five years, while wages have increased by only 19%. Legislative action is required to address the rise of out-of-state corporate entities acquiring single-family properties through cash transactions, pricing out Wisconsin residents.

Crime

I support a comprehensive approach to safety. That means fully funding police to uphold the rule of law, solve crimes and hold criminals accountable, while investing in mental health and community programs to prevent crime before it happens. I support increased federal funding for local police departments, specifically designated for enhanced training and the recruitment of high-quality personnel.

Erosion of Democracy

The current Administration seeks to consolidate executive power, but I will stand firm in defending the checks and balances that protect our freedom. No matter who governs, we must fight for free and fair elections. When you lose your voice at the ballot box, you lose the power to demand the affordable costs, quality healthcare, and fair pay you deserve.
